Joseph Saleko is the Jo behind Tanzania Jo’s. Locally born and raised in the nearby hills of Kilimanjaro, he has worked in the safari business as a driver/guide for over 25 years. After leading over 500 safaris for other companies, he started his own company. He has become an expert in all aspects of the business. He is a master mechanic, plans and books the trips as well as being a knowledgeable driver/guide. He has taken some National Geo photographers on safari and knows just where to go to get the best shots. The extra added bonus is “He’s Fun”.
The Partnership
Sandi Carter met Jospeh in 1997 while she was in Tanzania doing volunteer work. 7 years later, she returned to the U.S., but because of her love for the country and the people, she started taking groups on safari as a way to return to Tanzania.
